Heggadde Estate is a part of James Rodrigues Coffee, which is a four-generation, family-owned plantation business specializing in premium and specialty coffee, as well as pepper, cultivated across the serene Coorg and Saklespur regions of the Western Ghats in Karnataka. The family remains directly involved in every step of production, from nurturing nursery saplings to blending and roasting. Founded by Dr. James Rodrigues, a UCLA Plant Physiology alumnus and former Karnataka Planters' Association (KPA) Chairman, the legacy was sustained by his wife Nancy and later advanced by his sons, Marvin (also a former KPA Chairman) and Vivian. Today, grandsons Samir and Pranith run the estate with a contemporary vision, aligning their deep heritage with innovative growth and a strong commitment to environmental conservation, fair labor, and community development.
